Even though this might be considered a static shot, a sense of movement is conveyed by the forward thrust of the front leg and the tension that is in the stretched worm. Nice bokeh in both the fore and background. Perhaps brighten the eyes a bit for more detail? Overall a great shot. |

I agree with Cindy that the plants at the top probably should be eliminated in that they do take away from the subject. Nicely exposed, and the concentric lines formed by the ripples add interest. |

Beautiful colors and well done saturation, and the bird's perch has a great texture. Nice and sharp, but I find the branches at the upper left do add too much visual weight and distract from the subject. A possible exercise would be to composite a different background. |

Good story here; nice job of portraying the bird on the bottom, while not appearing to be threatened, is keeping a close eye on anything that passes through its territory. Creative image! |

Could you go into a little more of an explanation on how you arrived at your final image? First, of course, you take the picture, but then what do you in terms of editing? That is also a part of contemporary picture taking. There seems to be some lightly dark splotches around the upper wing tips, sometimes referred to as artifacts. |

Beautiful, subtle colors which to me demonstrate that a bird doesn't have to have wild and vivid colors to be attractive. The feathers provide nice wavy lines that add interest to the image. Very well done. |
