A complicated process, and it turned out really well. I'm of two minds as regards the sky -- Joe has a point about cropping down a bit, on the other hand, if I'm not mistaken, that part of the west is known as big sky country, so maybe the composition portrays that. You have a nice rule of thirds presentation with the sky, the mountains and the flat grassland. Beautifully done! I wonder how that would look on glossy paper? |

The blur (or motion) of the birds in flight offers a nice contrast from the birds sitting on the ground. However, I think the image as presented leaves the birds on the bottom lacking in interesting detail, and sitting too close to the bottom. Perhaps bringing in a bit allows more detail and narrows down the focus of attention: |

I think the couple being off to the side helps the composition -- makes everything less centered. What do you mean by improving the quality of the sky? Too bright, not enough color? Something relatively minor like the fence stakes help move the eye along toward the back. |

Great image! Can't think of too much wrong --except maybe to agree with Marti regarding a bit too much orange saturation. Very good placement of all of the objects in the room, and the eye is led straight to the table top, sort of a still life within a still life. Great recovery from the shadows. |

Nice composition with leading lines, except: perhaps the upper portion of the sky might be cropped down, inasmuch as that part does little to add to the look of the picture, and takes the horizon off center. Nice mood with the dark colors, which portray a solitude and stillness. |
