I like the dappled look. Would it have caused too big a problem if you had temporarily moved the yellow pumpkin from in front of the figure behind it? Then the picture would have been only about the stones, and their smiles, and not included the pumpkins. |

Reminds me I have an appointment with the dentist today .... Maybe place the head a bit more off center? |

Nice placement of the face. Great expression. My only complaint would be that the lighting was done in such a way that, although the exposure and color balance is great, it does appear that a flash was used from straight on. I could be wrong. |

Creative spot! Nice warm and vibrant colors -- has summer written all over it. Nice touch adding the inside stroke -- I've never used that before. |

Do you mean darkening the background? |

I hope everybody doesn't mind my going well off the deep end here, but I agree that the flowers do take away from the subject, and I thought I would take a different approach in eliminating them while at the same time making the bird house seem to be still within a more natural background. I extended the right side of the image to give me a source for cloning to the left side of the house, and then did a rough (very) job of making it appear that the (empty) table was still in the picture. Finally, I re-cropped the image. |

Very well done -- bright colors all the way through. I wonder how it would look on a coffee mug or even on a t-shirt? Could the face be brightened a bit? |
