Adorable with a capital A. Either the color or black and white works for me. She is lucky to have a talented photographer around to document her life's journey. Babies drool, so you could have left it in. Maybe a bit heavy on the eye highlights? Beautiful! |

Humorous catch, Mike. I'd be curious to know how long it's been up there and how much longer it will stay. Intentional? Maybe some kind of marketing ploy, to get people to come inside the store to point out the mistake? |

Joe, I think you pretty much nailed this one! Great colors, and of course the leading lines are obvious. One could even argue that the closed umbrella on the left ties in with those on the right. Can't find any negatives about this -- don't hesitate to enter it in a competition! |

Great action shot Al, and you did a very good job of rescuing the exposure considering that the subjects were back lit. I've shot lots of rodeos and fully agree about the difficulties in isolating the riders from the background, especially if that background is filled with rows of empty aluminum bleachers reflecting a strong sun. The bull riders, for example never seem to get very far from the chutes. I have noticed a kind of shape on the left central edge of the picture, next to the steer. Is this an artifact left over from cloning? |

Very nice recovery Peggy, and I liked your choice of sky replacement. As Al mentions, there is a sense of drama in a stormy sky, as if something big may be about to happen. There does seem to be a bit of a halo along the sloping rear of the barn's roof, but otherwise a nice compositing. I wouldn't mind ordinarily your placing some foliage in front of the building, but in this case I have a feeling that some interesting detail in the its doorway was lost. Overall, very nice to look at. |

You ended up with a very dramatic final image; the original background was way to busy and you did a fine job of eliminating the other flowers. The 'arrow' formed by the moth brings your eye straight to the 'bullseye' of the heart of the flower. Overall, the picture might be on the soft side, unless it's my monitor. |

In Photoshop, you can try using the blur tool. Zoom into the image quite a lot and select the blur tool with the soft brush setting and make it very small. Then you can move the tool along the edge carefully and skim the edge just enough to achieve the desired softening effect. |
