The background bokeh was well handled and set the flower off nicely. Since imperfection is a part of nature, the notches in the leaves (or is it petals?) and the drooping part on the left did not detract. Could you tell me more about the depth blur filter and the neural filter? I have a feeling they are in CC. |

Everyone has made some great suggestions, so I guess what it comes down to is whether you see the butterflies as the subject or if you view them balancing on the plants and creating a visual tension between them and the long plants as the final compositional goal. One thing for sure, you did a great job of establishing bokeh. Perhaps the butterflies could be brightened and saturated so as to bring them out from the background. |

Effective technique, but is the cactus too centered? Color is spot on. |

Beautiful repeating and meandering of the 'golden waves of sand' as well as the smaller wavelets surrounding and intersecting the larger ones. The shadows that result from the low sun angle give very nice modeling and texture. The golden tones and the blue sky play off of each other well. As the others have suggested, playing around with the contrast would help. Peggy's black and white is well done. |

A nice curving shore line leading to the house and then out to the horizon and sky. Speaking of the horizon, I think it is a bit out of level. Also, I wonder if the tree trunks on the left are a little too prominent visually, and could be cropped out while still leaving the tree's foliage as a framing device. Nice colors. |

A couple of questions -- why f/16 and what is meant by a 10 second shutter speed with a 1 second exposure time? |
