Yeah, maybe a bit brighter, but perhaps that could be my monitor. With our current predicament, the only missing sign was 'health.' This reminds me somewhat of black light photography. Nicely composed, and who could possibly argue with your sentiment? Back at ya! |

A difficult job well done, Kaylyn. My eye started at the prominent jagged rock at the lower left and followed a visual line toward the line of cliffs at the right and then back to the left toward the far distance in a kind of reverse 'C.' Nice details in the shadows. The blue sky nicely compliments the gold and green tones of the canyon. |

It appears that you went to some length to make all of the building's lines level and plumb, so that worked out well. But, as Peggy mentioned, everything seems centered and static, plus the lady's feet are brushing against the bottom border. |

Very well done in terms of color and contrast, and I was going to say the blues were a little overdone, but I'm assuming you had a bright blue sky behind you. Was the "1/5000 sec" a typo? Mainly though, as Joe points out, the overall distortion could be corrected. The windows and sides of the building are off. In Photoshop you could play around with the various perspective, free transform, skew and distort tools. Also, why the ISO 800? With a bright day and a tripod, you could easily get down to ISO 100, and a slower shutter speed. The coloring of the wood is great. |

I'll demonstrate my ignorance of botany by using some basic terms. Great arrangement of the black parts radiating out from the left on a diagonal line toward the upper right. As Joe notes, the softened background adds as a frame for the near parts of the flower. This is a really creative composition, except that (and this is probably just me) the red part seems to look more like a piece of raw meat, rather than a flower part, perhaps because of the highlights, or maybe because it could stand some saturation. Still, you demonstrated an eye for a fine abstract composition. |

The dodging of the white flowers added a counter-balance to the light sky at the top, and helps to frame the orange-red leaves of the trees. Having said that, maybe you could crop down from the top a bit to eliminate the brightest portion of the sky. If you did that, then the white flowers could act as a kind of support for the pattern of the leaves, almost like a vase. |
