Can't see how to improve this shot, unless the crop could be brought down a bit from the top. Wonderful job on the colors, and the yellow flowers contribute greatly to the overall impact of the image. The yellows in the sunset and the flowers make for an excellent framing device for the hills and river in the middle and give your picture a classic rule of thirds look. Very well done! |

Even though the action is frozen a sense of movement is obtained by the many repeating images of the legs of the animals as they head forward. A little reminiscent of the ancient cave paintings, possibly due to the back lighting. Could you crop in some more; after all, the sheep are the subjects. And maybe boost the contrast a bit. Interesting story about the black sheep. If you're counting sheep at night, can you only include the black sheep in your count, thereby getting to sleep ten times as fast? |

The highlights in the horns are blown out in the final image, and there may be a slight yellowish cast. Powerful looking animal -- I'd hate to meet up with this guy in a dark alley, or for that matter, in a well lit alley! This certainly says Texas; Amarillo was where I took Air Force basic training. As I recall, very few trees and lots of dust. |

Great colors and composition! The plant appears almost to be sitting, or reclining on a chair, just taking it easy, and leaning back against the wall ... Great placement of the very straight edges with the organic green "bubbles" and the long curving stems. The plant perfectly counterbalances the negative space on the left. As Al and Mike point out, the plant is somewhat overexposed, but can be easily corrected. Combining the exposure of the plant in the original (and some saturation) with the colors of the final will produce a competition worthy image! |

I like the narrow, spiky, green parts set off against the broad and flat yellow petals. And I always like dark backgrounds which tend to show off the subject. When taking the picture, maybe more of the left side would have been included so that the green parts weren't so crowded against the left border. Some additional saturation might have been helpful, but I think Al overdid the sharpening, as you can see white outlines around some of the parts of the flower. |
