I know this is going a bit over the edge, but I like the way that the heavy stone wall gives a feeling of strength and solidity, as if it was protecting the flag, and by extension, our society. And your treatment of the flag leaves no doubt as to the subject of the image. Maybe, since the bright edge of the opening draws the eye away from the middle of the picture, you could select that part and carefully darken it (if that can be done in LR). |

At first glance I liked the original with the rainbow of colors but after a bit I thought that the composition was overall too busy -- that is, there was no subject to focus in on. But now I like what you did with the final result. The yellow now gives me a focal point and adds impact overall. The yellow glasses are well placed in the upper right part of the picture, and all the glasses are arrayed in a diagonal pattern. That's not to say that Joe didn't have a good approach, but, after all, rules are rules .... |

The sky turned out very well, except for one hot spot. I think the bridge is fine -- after all it is on the shade side. I do agree with Peggy that the booth has been left on the bright side, almost as if it has a slight glow to it. Nice line with slight swoop of the bridge. Very creative shot. As I understand it, the man behind this project ended up bringing over the wrong bridge, as he confused the iconic Tower Bridge with London Bridge! |

The different colors suggested do add impact to the image. I wonder if your shade of green -- which might lean a little too much to the pastel -- could be changed to more of a forest green? Also, and this is perhaps getting too much into detail, should the reflection of the door in the window panel to the left also be the door color? Just asking -- sorry, I obsess on things like this ... |

The orange pumpkin and the white one are nicely balanced in terms of the composition. The overall image is quite sharp and the orange pumpkin is skillfully selected. I like the way the arrangement of flowers to the immediate left of the pumpkins are highlighted somewhat next to the subjects and then fade toward the dark as it approaches the left edge of the pic -- it seems to add a three dimensional aspect to the flowers. Well done! |
