The first thing that hit me was that this pic could be used as part of a two page ad for H D in a motorcycle magazine like HOG, showing all the elements such as the limitless possibilities of the open road, the freedom of being where you want to be and doing what you want to do, etc. The positioning of the bike across the road with the yellow stripe at right angles implies moving down the road in a subtle, not so obvious way. Nice exposure and the rider's placement keeps the composition from being to centered. Get your motors running .... great job! |

Al -- great job of eliminating the distractions, I wouldn't have guessed anyone else was there, even though there had to have been lots of visitors at that time of day. I normally don't care for light vignettes, but in this case I think it works because it adds to a sense of the past. The picture turned out well despite shooting at the worst time of day. Now that I think about it, I'm a little surprised that more tourist weren't milling about at the entrance. |

Very nice image Peggy. Excellent bokeh in the back. Quite sharp, especially the wing structure. I don't own a macro -- it's amazing how much detail you ended up with being so far away. Could you have been up a little closer? That comparatively bright tan patch on the far left is too visible -- the eye is almost always attracted to light areas. Nice picture to look at. |

Nice stair step curved line from bottom to top. Excellent color in the water -- many make it too blue. I think the diagonal tree trunk is perhaps too distracting. Even though it was a gloomy day, there could be a little more color in the foliage. Bring out the shadows more? You captured a mood very well. |
