I think this portrait is very well done. Very nice control of the lighting -- the white balance is spot on. My only criticism would be the placing of her right hand against her hip -- I'm not sure the hand should be hidden in the way that it is. This will sound like I'm going a bit off the deep end here (maybe more than a bit) but this has a kind of Mona Lisa look to it , with the unconventional and reticent expression on her face and the blurred background adding a touch of mystery. This doesn't make me a bad person, does it? I like this very much, and if I'm not careful I might start obsessing with her face.... but in a good way of course. |

Hi peggy. Do you mean the width of the areas on the right and left side of the doors? |

Cool design. I have PS5 and PS6 and this is the first I've heard of pixel bender. Could the same, or similar, effect be achieved with the zoom tool with radial blur in the filter menu? Or were you looking for the more sharply defined lines? |

Mike, similar approach to Kaylyn's image last month, with a simple, elegant and Zen-like composition the result. Of course I wasn't there, but is the final a bit too green? The reflection line may be a little too centered. Like John's entry for this month, this is a treat for the eyes. |

A really good job with the photo merge. If the subject has to be right in the middle, at least there is some asymmetry provided by the dome on the right and the attached building on the left. What would happen if you moved the left side in and eliminated the small building on the left and that part of the sky? |

First of all, I'm sorry to hear that you are leaving the group -- I hope you can make your way back, as I've enjoyed your work. A thin stroke would have helped to separate out the bottom. Beautiful colors. As John hinted at, maybe there is too much sky, overpowering the silhouetted part of the composition. In any case, a very nice image, great to look at. |

Your work on the color came out beautifully. Nice leading line from front to back. As happens so often there are several approaches to cropping. As it is in the final image, I think the roof is a bit of a distraction being so far over to the left and cut off -- in the original the whole roof in included and is away from the left edge. Perhaps a vignette would help. Nice job. |
