22 Dec 17 Comment I see lots of threes here: white, orange-brown, and blue; three different segments; three different textures. I like the diagonal line formed by the shredded wood. Maybe that blue blotch at the bottom is distracting, but overall a well done abstract image. Dec 13th
22 Dec 17 Comment I like the repeated arcs and the blues and blacks. The face peering out is a nice idea.
The upper right show a series of grooves which remind me of an old 45 record but I don't think that's what it is. They appear to be chips of some kind, and the words outback and gnome are raised, which you wouldn't find on a record. Since there appear to holes in the "disks" could this be charms for a bracelet? The placement of the face makes this a pleasing composition.

22 Dec 17 Comment Very intriguing image. I like the coloring of the red with the pale blue. I like Marti's remark about a fish smoking a cigarette, although I hope I'm not displaying the dark part of my mind when I mention that I see blood draining from a blood vessel! The two shapes at the bottom, as has been mentioned are a distraction. I don't why exactly but I get kind of a Paul Klee feeling here. Quite creative and mysterious and the product of a free flowing imagination. Dec 6th
22 Dec 17 Reply Interesting -- this is totally new to me. Is it possible you are talking about Camera Raw? I didn't know you could do any processing in Bridge. I download my images from my camera into Bridge, then open them up into Camera Raw or PS. Dec 5th
22 Dec 17 Comment PS When you say it was converted/processed in Photoshop Bridge, I'm not exactly sure what you mean. For me, Bridge is simply the "holding" area where I pick out which images I want to work on, and them open them up into PS, Elements, CR, etc. for processing. Dec 5th
22 Dec 17 Comment Very nice, Joe. Nice diagonal lines, the smaller cell-like shapes break up the overall pattern very well. Your use of extension tubes worked well here -- sometimes I have trouble with distortion and blurring on the fringes of the image, but I don't detect any here. Very good contrast, texture, and color. Would look good on someone's wall, be it home or office. I'll work on trying to guess what the subject is. Dec 5th
22 Dec 17 Comment Creative shot Peggy, and I like the colors, which really suggest some kind of miniature machine. Nice curved diagonal line. I like the challenge you've given us, and the extreme magnification suggests perhaps an electronic component. I'm trying to figure out the purpose of the copper coils, which may be keeping tension on the silver wires, or maybe shielding them from some kind of radiation. Or maybe this is the inside of a concert piano, but the wires do seem way too thick. I'll keep thinking about this... Dec 4th
22 Dec 17 Comment I do like the colors and the oats look quite sharp and are set off from the background very well. I like your comment about the "icing on the top." It's a nice picture as is, but I wonder if this is close-up enough to fall within this month's guide lines. A couple of friends of mine have the 100-400 lens and are really pleased with it. Dec 4th
