Personally, I like the original best because it shows context and tells more of a story. The shadow is more prominent rather than the crop. Crop is just another butt shot. |

It's a little flat IMHO. I retouched with contrast and added some vignetting to darken the background. Oh, yes a touch of sharpening, |

To my eye the snow on lower right is distracting. I took the original into Luminar Neo and made the ratio 16:9. What do you think? |

Good eye find. Agree that monochrome works best, For help, it seems the crop is a little too tight. Nothing you can do about it now. I am only suggesting a picture that shows the context of the whole window and not just a part of the frame. That may help tell a story. |

Good close up portrait. I wish you had told us the ISO so we can know more about your exposure traingle. 1/20 second exposure is at the very extreme edge of sharpness. Her expression could be more friendly. |

That MO State Pen has to be top of the list to photograph. Same here with the textures of old brick, plaster and, peeling paint. Good eye. |

The guy on the right makes the story here. Surroundings are a necessary part of the story telling. Good work. Nice to see you converted to BW. Im wondering about that middle guy with his hand behind his back. |

Beth, great street shot. An excellent example of why BW is best for street photography. I like that little girl shooter. Wonder what the game is. |

Color is not very outstanding here. Letting the viewer solve the color issue with a Black and White conversion would be better IMHO. Agree with Patti about the story telling part. |

Catching the emotion is not easy. Good work story telling IMHO. Keep up the good work with that iPhone. I have mine with me at all times. So what if you don't have much DOF control. That is not as important as capturing the emotion and feelings.

Street photography is so challenging for a lot of reasons. Good work and good eye award. What I find interesting is the communicaton you created with the man. Never fear asking permission. A story telling image. Me too I want to know more. May I suggest boosting your ISO. !/30 is at the very edge of fuzziness. Unless you plan to print the picture there is no reason to use such low ISO. |
