Ruth, this is one of the best images of The San Juan Range, North, that I have seen. The spot is in my backyard as I live in Montrose. Using the fence as a camera support is genius. You got there at the right time and weather conditions. |

Saw this in Group 50, monochrome. You received more positive comments here. Agree, go for the Still Life course you will have fun at it.
Suggest doing it over with a fresh lemon immediately after slicing it. You could even set it all up and slice the lemon again after doing all the set up stuff. A wall worthy image IMHO. |

Very well done, to my eye. Great crop and BW treatment. A fine expample of street photography. I think the pole adds to the story telling factor. |

Agree, James hit the mark. BW conversion is best.

IMHO your crop is perfect. The open door is all blown out and nothing you can to correct that now. Your original has the right amount of shadow detail. This just cries for HDR treatment. All hindsight. I like this image. |

Same here regarding the crop. Suggest using the dodge tool and making the two guys clothing a little brighter along with their faces. Not too much just a touch. Yes, I would call it a street shot. |

A fine art photograph with monochromatic treatment best. I do not feel you have lost any texture in converting to BW. The lemon looks a little dry to me. |

It is a winner! I like keeping the left sign as it helps show the movement. Makes a fine contest entry.

Excellent photography. Agree with James a nudge in contrast is in order. |

Good question. For me, BW photography is best for street photography because it diminishes color distractions. Too often color becomes the subject of the image. One more reason is that BW makes the image timeless. Color can date an image. Street photography started when BW was the only medium available. One idea is to do a computer search for more viewpoints. One last thought is BW trains the photographer focus on the subject he/she is capturing to tell a story. We do not take photographs we make them. |

One goal of street photography is to blend in with the street. Lugging a DSLR and a big lens makes you the odd one in the street. The smaller the camera the better. No zoom lenses. If you want bigger in the scene - get closer. My personal opinions. |

Very interesting shot looking straight at you wondering who is this guy? I made it into a BW as best for street photography. To my eye the color overwhelms the subject face. Brightened his face a tad and darkened the background. |

This one certainly tells a story. Personally, I like the BW best. It is a little soft. Suggest boosting the ISO to get a higher shutter speed for street work. Your original submitted looks like a cropped version in color. I took it to Luminar Neo and converted to BW making the sky darker. Gave it a little sharpening. |

Great street shot and I really like the crop keeping the lady to the far left. Tells a story. IMHO a pro DSLR is too noticeable for street photography. Today's mirrorless cameras are smaller and the image quality is equal to or better than DSLR's. You need a single prime lens to go with it. Yep, Im a Fujifilm fan.

Great cropping to make a street shot. You sure captured the moment. Suggest making it a BW, the colors do not add anything. Happy New Year.
