Very colorful and interesting lighting. For help suggest cropping the top â…“ to eliminate the the bright lights at top. The top has nothing of interest. Make it a 16:9 ratio which will get rid of the right side distraction. To my eye it is a little soft. You could boost the ISO quite a bit without noticible noise. Use f/8 or 5.6 to get closer to the sweet spot in your lens. I would like to see your original image. |

Respectfully disagree with Charlie Yang. Clouds work very weil with the sunny bright light. Perfect light for color photography. Great job on sky replacement. |

The little guy is still vertical and the diagonal lines are obscured. I probably should have cropped a little tighter. It is fun traipsing around the old, abandoned train yard.
Thanks for your comments.

Many thanks. Agree, the little guy needed to be more prominent. The rails are taller than he is. |

Horizon straightening is fun to discuss. It also takes a lot of repetition to catch it every time. So easy to forget. |

Catching the right moment really paid off with this shot. Good sharpness, and ¾ angle of the car. To my eye it is a little overexposed and detail in the whites is lost. Blacks are sort of flat. It would help to know the lens and focal length. f/14 got you the depth of field. Im always asking for inclusion of the original in posts. For help suggest making more contrast. |

Chipmonk is the subject here. He is a pretty tiny guy. Good idea if I were making the rails the subject. Thanks much for commenting. |

Very interesting capture with the car being your subject. For help, I would like to see the original since the dark piece of something on the left middle makes the eye want to explore outside of the picture to see what the heck that is. Why not give it more story telling value by giving us a wider view of the scene. Having a half fuzzy background is not as good as making the background more exaggerated out of focus. Remember, you want one interesting subject only in a picture. That is only my personal opinion. |

A very intereting portrait. I'm with Lance, the regarding the background. One suggestion is to add a slight vignette. That would keep the eye centered, |

As a railfan, this view is terrific. I like your sharpness, high angle and perfect composition. It ceertainly has the film look. You can tell the knuckle coupler is under pulling pressure by the gap of the right side couple. Good eye award! Take a look at Virtual Railfan on YouTube. |

Very good work. Sharp, tonality perfect, and it tells a story. You really caught the emotion of the moment. To me, it is wall worthy at 16x20 with a plain black frame. |

Nice to have the original to play with, thanks. Call me a cropoholic - it's just the way I see it. Image is overexposed to start with so a lot of the white detail is lost. You did capture the moment with the conversation and focus. I think you were a little far away to make the background fuzzy even wide open. For me, I would go for overall sharpness, I stratightened the horizon and pulled all the sliders to the left in making the BW conversion. This is a very good street photograph. |

Let me add to congrats on a great street shot. I like everything about it including the low angle. Looks like the mom in background is giving some directions. The two kids smoking cigarettes makes me wonder. Story telling factor is ++.

Great street shot Jill! It has emotion, feeling and aura. The wall poster adds interest. I can just smell the food. Am smiling at the photographer in back. Looks like he wants to be up front. Good eye, |

You captured the mement. Never mind any composition, fuzziness, or angles. It is all about the story this tells. May be a little oversaturated but so what? Good eye. |

This is a street shot for sure. There is no emotion or feeling coming out. Im looking for something interesting. Keep up the good work and not to be concerned with security. For help try cropping to get the subject more prominent. Where is the original? |
