You captured the action. Thats what counts. It is very difficult to anticipate what birds do, you gotta get lucky. Good job. |

Agree it is a fine capture. Sharp and well composed. I do not see any white threads. Those are the insects antennai. |

No one wants to publish the original color version in this group and I don't know why. The sky is too gray and needs to be darker with some contrast in the clouds. This image needs more interesting something. Only my humble opinion (smiling). |

Converting to mono is best. It brings out the yellow into some interesting detail whereas that is lost in the color shot. Love that iPhone. Making this a black and white picture makes for a draker background which is less busy. Im a fan of black backgrounds for flowers |

Where is the color image?
To my eye, the two end birds sleeping add nothing to the image. They need to be upright and awake like the center bird. The symmetry works. |

The lines are square, compostion perfect, and it is sharp. Shadow detail is there. How does it get any better? My thought is what does the original color image look like. Hey, you used a tripod too!

What an interesting door. I love old doors and windows. The stories they tell. Here,, you certainly did bring out the old carvings, Vertical lines are vertical. Its the door with age that is not square. Good job. It would make a great conversion piece hanging on a wall and framed with a thin black frame. |

This is so neat that you show two originals of the overall scene and the close up original that was used for the final image. Good work. I only wish it were not so aoft. The cobwebs make the shot. |

Ian, I doubt seriously if you can do anything about the overexposed white center area. There is no data in the file. |

Love your story of how it was made. Stopping and backing up is the way to go and, hard to do. This capture does tell a story in my opinion. Infrared treatment is very interesting.

Really good timing to get the guy in the light. Cutting off the Fishbowl signage is not distracting to my eye. You got the guy that is what counts for story telling. Excellent capture of street happenings. |

This is a nice portrait of the lady. In my mind leaving the people on the right in the image makes for a story telling. Street photography is more about story telling than making pictorial images. |

Love these street shots of crowds of people. Here, the white dome area overwhelms the crowd. It threw your automatic exposure off. Not much data to work with in brightening the guy in the center. This is the best I coiuld do. |
