In my opinion this is no longer a photograph. I would call it an illustration. You did a good job of pasting. |

Hello all, I agree, some detail is lacking. David, you dont say how you did the retouching. Was it the burn tool in PS?

Just thought I would see if the History Bruch would bring out the cloud definition. I love the History Brush. |

I really like the black background. To my eye you could make three pleasing images from this by cropping to square and focusing in on each individual flower. Having said that, I feel this picture would make a great wall hanging as is with no changes. Well done. |

Monochrome and square are definitely the right way to go in my humble opinion. I feel your composition and timing are spot on. For me, Adobe Photoshop is still the best tool for creating monochrome. Make the conversion in the Black and White Adjustment Window, not the Grayscale mode. |

Monochrome is definitely the best treatment in my opinion. It is sharp, well composed and just the right amount of contrast and lightness for my eye. I really like the addition of a frame. |

For me this is a terrific subject for monochrome. It gives a feeling of mystery and wonder what would it look like from the top. The shading and contrast are really as perfect as it gets. I look at this picture as a great example of chiaroscuro. Well done. |

For me,the monochromatic version works best. I see you have eliminated those window highlight/reflections to a good result. I would suggest cropping the left and the botton so the model is more prominently the image impact. |

A very interesting image particularly due to the clouds in my view. I like the monocrome result a lot. For help I sould give the clouds a little more contrast if possible. Possibly some vignetting to keep the eye inside the image. |

Thanks everyone. I just looked at it on my iMac27 and fully agree. I made this on the MBP and it looked OK at the time. I calibrate my displays at least once a month. Better next time. |
