Thank You Connie. The Landscape was shot at all different angles. I preferred this one the best. I was worried that it would be a popular hot spot to shoot so I got there before sunrise. The other photographer there on shoot stated that their too many photographers there the day before (Sunday) so he decided to come back.(Too many people in his pictures). I was lucky to have only 2 other guys there to shoot. We all got along well. |

Nice costume and color. I like how you used a low power manual flash (1/64) so you didn't over light the subject. Great choice. The only improvement I would of done would be to see more the lower leg and foot in the bottom of the image. Very nice. |

Nice color and sharpness of the gull. The only improvement I would of made would be to eliminate less space on top and more wiggle room below the bird. |

I love this. I do like the cropped version. It adds more artistic value. It makes the viewer focus on the cars not the man. Nice sharpness and detail. |

Hi Wanda- Thank you for the details. I would personally rate images in 2 categories. A award winning shot and a record shot. I feel this would consider this to be a record shot. Thanks for disclosing that up front. I would of cropped the top to get rid of the empty space. I would dodge more light in the flag. I would then narrow the shot with just the flag and the water tower. (take out the chimney and parts of the building). |

Thank You Wanda. I was also happy to get overcast skies to avoid hot spots from the sun. |

Hi Connie-I really like how you went into great detail of the day you took the image. Great job! I assuming that you will take many more great images like this one because your famous season (Winter)is now here in Michigan.
Nice capture of the winter scene in Grand Haven, Michigan. I love how you captured the snow blowing and drifting off the bank. Nice depth of field showing the detail in the foreground and the lighthouse in the back ground. In regards to the composition, I really liked how Harley re-composed the shot. I am also favoring the monochrome pic that Stephen displayed with the dramatic sky. Nice work. |
