I may need a better lens to let more light in with the faster shutter speed... I did add a vignette to darken the edges to help focus on the bee but maybe it would have been better to just leave it the way it was. Thanks for your thoughts. |

Bee's are a bit challenging for sure! Thanks for your thoughts, I will try again. |

Audrey, thanks for your analysis, I added a vignette to darken the edges but may have gone a bit to far. My thought was to focus on the center of the photo where the bee is. |

Eric, thanks for your analysis, I agree. I thought I had added some sharpening but maybe not enough. |

Marla, this is an interesting perspective and I'm not use to seeing a duck this wet! The fact that the bill and head are in focus allows me to dismiss the rest of the body. I love the little feathers sticking up on the top of it's head. I would try to brighten up the right eye (its left eye) if you could but other than that I really like it. |

Eric, I love the color of this photo, it looks so rich. I think I need to learn how to use Nik Color Effex... I like the crop, and I might be tempted to take more off the bottom except then you would lose the character of the dress and so I like it the way you have done it. Nice job! |

Ruth, I just spent a week with two of my grandchildren and it sure is a joy to have them around. I can see you were having fun and for a quick selfie you did pretty good. It is so hard to control the background when you are focusing on trying to get two faces in the frame, hold the phone, and push the shutter! I like how you burned your finger, I didn't notice it until I read your description. |

Vencent, it is great when you get a chance like this and are able to capture it! You did a great job capturing the starbursts and the color is beautiful. I do like the changes that Audrey made as it cleans it up a bit and there are less distractions for my eye to see. Nice job! |

Audrey,
I think this is a very interesting composition. For some reason it looks quite grainy or like heat waves in the background. I know cell phones can have very high ISO's so I wonder if that is it. I don't do macro shots with my cell phone but I know people do. Sorry I'm not more help. |

Thanks Arne, I was looking for triples but could not find the third cactus so I settled for the bush but I agree. |

Arne, this is a great waterfall composition. The two larger waterfalls on each side of the photo took my eye from one side to the other and then I noticed all of the small waterfalls between the two larger ones. You did a nice job brightening the body of the photo but keeping the foreground dark. I like it! |

Michael, this is a beautiful photo! As always you have very good control of the color. I love the clouds in the sky and how the dark blue turns to pink and purple and how that color continues under the club house and across the water. Amazing photo, thanks for sharing it with us. |

Phil, this is a very nice waterfall composition. I like how the waterfall is off center and the exposer is long enough to soften the water but still see the streams of water. The top right is a bit bright for me, I think I would burn it a bit to tone it down as it draws my eye to it but it is not that interesting. Other than that I really like this photo. |

I love these sunsets where there is a gap between the clouds and the horizon with the sun shining through! These can be very interesting after the sun sets. Some time you get beautiful colors reflecting on the clouds. I am curious if you tried any shots with a ND filter to tone down the sun a bit? All in all though it looks very nice. |
