Love this striking radial composition, leading lines, color palette, processing of dominant trunk, and mood. |

Thanks Lamar & Merry Christmas! I left the negative space at the top as image goes from sea up into fog with no discernible horizon. |

The foreground pattern is compelling as it suggests harmony and rhythm which brings a sense of order and peace. Its texture creates another dimension. Mid-ground symmetrical triangle is strong and holds my eye when not exploring the image. The background contributes to the sense of scale and depth. Pleasing color palette. |

A lot working for you in this lovely composition: rule of thirds concerning tree placement, rule of odds with odd number of elements, the frame is full but there is plenty of space. Not a distraction to be seen.
There is a lot of verticality but this horizontal frame works well as it is well balanced. As you said the kiss of light backlighting the spanish moss makes the shot so kudos for taking the shot at the optimal moment! The color reflections in the water emphasize the wonderful color palette. |

To me the loblolly pine log is the primary leading line drawing me into the image and exactly to where you want it to go: the steep walls of rock lit by the rising sun. This prevents my eye from drifting around without ever landing exactly where you want it at the base and exploring up and around the cliffs and back again. Being that it's a diagonal, more drama is created. Additionally, it's created triangular areas which adds strength to image. It's also helped fill the frame without crowding it. Lovely composition well seen, handled and resolved in post.
Pierre's sky tweeks and dehaze of distal canyon seems to add value. And then there's Luminar's sky replacements to consider - using one of your own alternate sky's of course! |

Terrific location, location, location, well lit with challenging shoot conditions that were well handled with aplomb. Good job.
My only suggestions would be to consider at the bottom of the image de-saturating and or darkening the colorful street aparel that draws my eye. Also de-emphsise the bright lights bottom left. |

The strongly backlit phragmites are presented in lovely silhouette as is the lone tree which overlays a nicely layered non-distracting sky - all of which adds impact.
IMO I find the two coniferous trees draw my eye and would suggest you consider removing them. I'm liking the layers of contrast in the sky, and tried to extend that layered look to the phragmites to enhance that feeling by dodging and burning them a bit. Just another point of view to consider.

Ahhh......my grass island! Very nice. Love all the diagonals and misdirection here while a sense of orderliness and peaceful mood is maintained. The central island parallels the strip entering from the right edge strengthens it as does the cloud reflection. Lovely light streaming in from the right pulling out the red tones in the fall grasses providing color contrast. IMO I would suggest considering the rule of odds and crop in from the left just a tad to only show 3 fingers of grasses in the frame. |
