This has been an enlightening discussion. I believe my preference is the image Todd posted 9/26. Nice B&W contrast and tonality. |

I enjoy the lit foreground silhouette, the way the hoodoos barely touch each other, and that they add a nice gesture with their touch of color, form and shape.
The star trails are unique in how they elongate and radiate away from their central point. Captivating. No suggestions for improvements; wonderfully developed! |

Geometric architectural detail of lines, shapes, shadows, darks and lights. It's all strengthened by your B&W processing with emphasis on texture and pop of landscape strategically placed in the window. Well seen and processed. |

The pair of tree silhouettes is well seen and placed in the composition making the secondary element trio of trees a nice reinforcing anchor that the S curve sets off so effectively. The light, lovely color pallet and blush of color behind them set them off nicely. As said, a great use of space. |

I find the foreground enveloping me as I view the scene; I'm part of the image and feel I am there. Your elimination of grass clumps and Todd's suggestion to clean up the right edge help to simplify it and draw you into the distance where you're rewarded with the lovely muted pastel color pallette.
I think you can add to the sense of depth and bring out the effects of the fog by adding more variation in the luminescence of those areas with local adjustment brushes.
I'd also consider how much sky you need above the fog; don't think it adds much value and I'd be inclined to crop it just above the fog line. The long dock typical of the low country doesn't bother me at all. Lovely morning image! |

Nice touches Todd; thanks. The crop helps simplify the churning water which I like too. |

These are the Hraunfossar Waterfalls which is a bit different than the other waterfalls in Iceland. It's composed of an intriguing series of springs coming out of the Hallmundarhraun lava flow into the Hvita River. There is just volcanic rock & cliffs above and so no sky is seen. |

Thanks San. I was there in early September when I took this image. I agree; the water color does seem diluted of color....oh...what did I do? I don't have access to the processing history at this time. |
