70 Feb 20 Reply On capture there had been no light coming through the arch at all as the sunrise is so far to the left of it. I'd added a conservative amount; next time I'll be bolder with my brush! Thanks Todd for the helpful light editing tweaks; and your crop certainly seems to strengthens it. Feb 26th

70 Feb 20 Reply Nice B&W suggestion; thanks. Feb 26th
70 Feb 20 Comment I like where this is going - the portrait orientation with the sea oats set as a stronger foreground interest pointing the way to the sun receding in the distance. Feb 18th
70 Feb 20 Comment The triangle is man's strongest shape, and this composition has many triangles. It also has all 3 strong primary colors. I find the placement of the shapes and colors very dynamic and powerful; marvelous graphics. The light, the color, the gesture of the actors with upstretched arms makes a powerful powerful image. Just terrific Frans!

Good catch Todd.

70 Feb 20 Comment The drama in your sky is so dynamic and spectacular; awesome; what a moment you captured. Love how the sky's cool color palette juxtaposes against the warm color palette glow on the well textured unusual rocks. Looks otherworldly.

The composition is composed of powerful triangles that help give it a strength and show the raw beauty of the land in a new way.

Congrats on the various photo showcase successes!

70 Feb 20 Comment As my years of being a snowbird pass I curiously find myself waxing forlorn with your winter scenes Pierre! A part of me will always be a New England-er who used to love all the seasons.

Love all the big globby flakes covering the walker; perfect shutter speed. Love the atmosphere & mood you have set. Even the walkers hand up to her face helps set the feeling of raw cold thick wet weather.

70 Feb 20 Comment All beautiful sunrises don't need cloudy skies; I like the simplicity of this sunrise. The sea oats held below the horizon, the receding perspective of the beach and the dune grasses create a calm serene mood. Might benefit from a slight crop off the top of the sky. Feb 11th
70 Feb 20 Comment Strong image of the Grand Canyon; the cool sky and the snow help express the feeling of a harsh cold winter in spite of the warm sunset glow on the rock. Pleasing composition showing the lines and patterns in good focus & clarity without the usual haziness. Feb 6th

91 Feb 20 Reply Am thinking cropping the top of the cloud out and making it a pano would solve both the sky and beach issues.

Thanks Chan for your suggestions.

91 Feb 20 Reply Thanks Gary for your thoughts and suggesting the beach crop; I agree. Will darken the remaining beach too so it's less attention grabbing. Am still learning which lens tend to catch hot spots in IR and how to deal with them. Feb 26th
