70 Sep 19 Reply Thanks so much Frans for the link! Good stuff! Sep 15th
70 Sep 19 Reply Thanks Lamar. I tried and agree with your crop suggestion. Here's a square. Sep 15th
70 Sep 19 Reply Thanks Glen. I too dislike merging silhouettes but sometimes you just gotta "click" the shutter anyway. Sep 15th
70 Sep 19 Reply Along this thought and as I enjoy the X lines in this composition here's a crop to consider. As I zoomed in close it seemed the rock & sky was a touch soft. Nice image. Sep 15th
70 Sep 19 Comment I find your treatment of the motion in the water compelling and captivating and love the color palette. Capturing it at high tide wrapping around the shore rocks would be ideal but we have to deal with what we have. So I simplified it by cropping. Just an idea.

70 Sep 19 Comment Very sharp definition behind the various mountains creates more of a separation and sense of depth. B&W conversion way to go. Diagonal line of the trail and the lake might be strengthened by cropping some off the bottom; so I tried a 16:9 pano crop. Nice story from flat top mountain to abruptly rising huge triangular shaped mountains. A distal person overlooking the view of the lake might have added a nice sense of scale but it's quite nice just as you have it. Sep 15th
70 Sep 19 Comment Natures natural framing at its best; choosing to add the branches at the bottom completes it. This view never disappoints. Nice HDR. I feel Kathryn's edit strengthens it.

70 Sep 19 Comment Compelling image that connects the viewer with the story of an impending weather event through use of light, lines, shapes, balance, tension and depth. The light of the back lit clouds, the lines of water reaching back from the front corners of the image, the triangular shape of the water flanked by triangles of marsh grass and trees all create a delightful balanced visual design. Warmer foreground colors than the cooler background help create tension, contrast and depth. Lovely moment well captured. Sep 15th

91 Sep 19 Comment This unique roof certainly makes an impactful solid composition. In post you've created a pleasing color pallet. I like your choice of Topaz effect on the trees and barn, but personally would reduce its opacity on the roof and sky. Nice image. Sep 15th

91 Sep 19 Comment This is one very berry blue desert scene! I decided to fool with LR's Hue & Saturation sliders, as well as the basic saturation & contrast sliders. Just for fun I tried to make each cactus a different color. Sep 15th
91 Sep 19 Comment The centrally located powerful forearm rising up makes a strong impact. Your composition is strengthened as well by your choice to locate the climbing people even with the treetops. Adds to the story of escape.

I feel that there's more detail in the deep shadows to be brought out and some highlights are a bit hot.

For more practice I edited this in PS even though image is a jpg. Applied Channel Swap action, added some texture on the people, -highlights, + shadows, and vignette to edges of image.
