Wow! Your choice of shutter speed to handle the motion of the clouds seems to turned that moisture into a waterfall pouring down the face of the mountain - very nice! Especially with the dreamy smooth lake and silhouetted trees in foreground. Love the lake color. Well done! |

Well lit foreground, well placed subject against the backdrop of the milky way sky all together makes a strong composition.
Congrats on achieving a well thought out and executed image.
I felt it would benefit from a slight crop off the bottom to bring the horizon down and eliminate some bright spots. |

A lovely moment you've caught here Glen.
To me this second image is stronger. The cropped off sky wasn't adding to the story, and now the bird tracks and reflections have more emphasis which strengthens the composition. |

Hi Frans,
I view this as a documentation shot; an "I was there" shot; it's full and it's busy. There is so much happening my eye is continuously roving to the cliff top, the switchback, the beach, the triangular gates down there. There is no place to rest my eyes, and the more I look the more questions I have. Is the glass building public or private, is there a switchback for auto's next to this one for people? And what's the gate lead to on the beach?
To me, the cropped version tells of one story all contained with pleasing geometrics. Much simpler and clearer to understand. Quite strong, colorful, and impactful. |

Yes - I agree it needs a model. |

Thanks for your comments Frans. Here is another shot showing the many windows to shoot through. Would benefit from a lovely model in the window! |

Well executed image. Documents nicely your travels to an ancient historical city on a lovely clear evening perfect for a walk about with your camera.
Choice of wide aperture results in soft diffuse lights twinkling everywhere which you've warmed up nicely; I prefer the mood this enhanced of cozy, calm and peacefulness over the cooler blue feel. If there was a light dusting of snow perhaps the cooler blue would be better.
Using a small aperture would have produced more star effects.
As the image encompasses an entire city uniformly lit I would be strongly tempted to clone out the distracting bright balloon light.

The composition has a lovely soft rhythmic flow of all the blooms leaning from lower left to upper right. A lovely diagonal flow. Your chosen shutter speed and aperture succeeded nicely in hiding the distracting background of ground litter.
A small nit is the stem in the foreground; perhaps it and a partial stem on right edge can be darkened.
I feel Easter is certainty coming!

What a striking composition! You were definitely in the right place at the right time. Leading lines, diagonals, triangles, good detail in both the shadows and the highlights. Marvelous color. Bravo Frans! Good job. |
