Love the turquoise theme going on here Mark! Accentuates the Western theme. |

Love how you've simplified the original and created a soft pastel intimate landscape. Terrific! |

Great capture and post processing Todd! Nothing to add except I prefer the toned down rock. |

Certainly evokes a strong feeling of COLD, wind, ice, and snow which is strengthened by the blue cast to the image. However I believe I prefer the B&W renditions.
To me Lamar's crop simplifies the image and emphasizes the repetition of the pattern of all the floating docks.
Very nice Pierre. You do love the weather! |

I'm enjoying how colorful this waterfront community is and agree with earlier suggestions to remove distracting white roof in upper left and crop tighter on right side to remove the trees that add no value to image.
I like the small craft where it is; it's foreground interest and leads my eye to the village where I discover there's actually a canal going through to the other side, not a harbor as I'd thought on first glance. Whether you move the boat closer or not doesn't really change where it's going but moves it further into the image. I'd leave it in the foreground to add depth.
Looks like a great spot to go visit! |

Thanks Pierre. My reason to crop was to emphasize the mix of textures of roof, wood wall, alternate diagonal stone work under the roof, and the dry stonewall construction. Perhaps I should have moved my feet more to capture the gate in a better perspective. However, to me the wide angle lens enlarged the fairly close foreground gate, diminished the large mountains beyond, and so the gate is a bit out of scale and leaning away. Probably should have used a 50mm lens and gone in for the intimate details. |

Wow - good job showing the isolation through the mists while working in a heavily tourist visited area. My favorite is the B&W with a touch of red kayak.
I love the overhead framing, especially the star-burst plants on the left and agree on suggestion to crop off a bit on the right of frame. |

I found when I was in the Redwood forest that's so vast with such tall magnificent humongous trees that it was overwhelming to come up with a composition to show what you felt upon seeing it all. I can feel it in this image; in fact I can smell it. Great job! The dappled light on the texture of the bark is perfect. |

At the time I didn't realize the symmetry it had to a face but now it's been brought to my attention I see it too. I kept looking at the depth of the sides and the sod roof and how well insulated it is for their harsh climate. |

Yes, the top and left certainly are cramped for space. Here is the original and another view of such an unusual building. |
