70 Dec 17 Reply Thank you Mike for reaching out with your kind words! Happy New Year. Dec 28th
70 Dec 17 Comment Perfect! Love it with the clean puffy clouds! Print and enjoy. Merry Christmas. Dec 17th
70 Dec 17 Comment The wash of light on the right side trees is stunning; perfect timing. And conveniently those trees don't block out Mt Vesuvious beyond. I also notice these trees with matching cypress are a pair so I cropped to simplify and focus just on them in your perfectly captured moment of best light. Wonderful the effects of a nice wine on photography! Dec 16th
70 Dec 17 Comment Intriguing waterfall taken at a time of low flow at a shutter speed that enhances it nicely; soft and lacy, not blown out but showing plenty of detail. My eye really wants to see the top of the falls and is unsettled with the foreground rock showing no base.

If you're trying to beat the bright sun at the top of the falls, try a pano as Pierre suggested or try a graduated neutral density filter to tone it down. Or zoom in close for a detailed shot.

As waterfalls are a vertical element, I took the liberty of recropping it in that orientation, warmed up the rock and added texture with clarity & contrast, and enhanced the waterfalls colors.

I had an enjoyable time exploring The Grampian National Park and this waterfall online and welcome you to the group. Very much looking forward to touring your beautiful country with you! Welcome.

70 Dec 17 Comment This image has a marvelous sense of depth - that's Big Country! Enhanced by the tiny bus with a long long way to go to reach Denali. I love the timing of the capture when the valley has a few broken areas of direct light but is mostly under diffused cloud light adding to the depth I feel.

Initially I didn't notice the tilted cloud base. My eye just explored that immense valley and mountain views as I traveled down that road. I feel in the image that levels the cloud that the road is too squished up to the right and unbalances the overall scene. In a perfect world you would have leveled the composition/clouds and put the road in the right third of the frame but cripes capturing from a moving bus it's just terrific! Print and enjoy the moment forever.

Kudos on your technical skills obtaining this powerful shot through what I'm sure was a dirty dusty window! Focus is sharp, all movement is stopped, great exposure & depth of field. Good job!

70 Dec 17 Comment So much atmosphere up on those high ridge roads through the Shanandoah, Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountain areas! Love those long views but agree using your small sweet spot f-stop would bring it all into sharp focus and would also enhance the star effect of the sun rays peeking out from under the clouds. And using a small touch of the dehaze filter in post would enhance that atmosphere. Dec 15th
70 Dec 17 Comment This image has a nice impact compelling me to look around. You've successfully drawn my eye where you want it to go: down the pumpkin rows to the sky blush; effective use of leading lines.
Good composition; everything is natural with the exception of the distant village; perhaps consider cropping out the left side to keep this natural theme going which would also remove the distracting bush. In which case you also might want to consider removing the hand of man, ie telephone poles as I did hastily here.
Well exposed with good focus through a deep depth of field. A tad over-saturated on my monitor.
