I assume you shot in RAW allowing you to adjust color temp in post whereas jpeg bakes it in and is impossible to adjust. I try to shoot @ ISO 3600-3200 K as the evening gets later/darker and as the blue hour ends I keep lowering the Kelvin scale. I now have learned to adjust exposure from the histogram, not the LCD live view which often lead me to black images; just trust the histo and not the LCD. I try to keep the histo curve just off the left edge.
In post I tend to adjust these sliders to positive: contrast, whites, clarity, vibrance and perhaps a bit of saturation. |

Nice general coastal scene of a dragger with the ubiquitous pelicans. Good DOF with f16 but shutter speed not producing sharp feathers or white caps. I'd like to see a more definite subject by shooting with a longer lens tight on just a few of the pelicans placed up front in the foreground.
Light not particularly interesting at this moment, but a nice grab of the moment. The Dragger adds tension by seemingly going straight into the shore while the birds are totally unconcerned. The seagull helps connects my eye moving from the birds to the boat. |
