The treetop adds focus and interest in the Super Moon as it emerges from the forest. Nice touch; like that part. And the lavender twilight. Lovely light, nice moment. Your foreground people provide scale but are not in sharp focus and become distractions to me. The canon, further back, is sharp. f5 has a very shallow depth of field.
The lens was set at 82mm and post included extensive cropping. To show the moon's size shoot to 210mm; there's a lot of noise at twilight ISO speeds so you don't want to crop much at all. Find your foreground subject; perhaps the cannon. To line up the canon and the moon you'll have to got down low on the ground with your tripod (a Platypod would work here) and aim up at the treetops to catch that branch in front of the moon that's so effective. The composition will be simpler; just canon, forest, and moon. But perhaps the canon is too close to the forest to be your foreground. |

Thanks Tom. There wasn't much color to the leaves this year; just "brown and down". |

Wow. I wasn't aware one could get a "Gold and Blue" Polarizer. |

My eye follows the dark line between the fields back to the tree then kind of gets lost; the background beyond isn't as sharp and I'm distracted by the very distant brown seemingly lavendar hills. Perhaps f11 -16 would provide deeper DOF. So I did a crop to keep me focused and added some clarity to boost the wonderful textures of the land. I too would love to see the Palouse. Lovely image. |

Can't seem to attach the crop :( but it basically removes some of the bottom up to where the waterfall lands on the pool. |

I'm not familiar with Smooth Reflection; will have to investigate. I do like the texture and color of the moss and rock in that light but something is off in the water pool below. I tried a crop. |

All look cold with a grey sky promising a long snowy night; but I do like the streetlamp and would try to keep it; just wish it was on. I'm not feeling the wind though. Hope you can revisit it at the next snowstorm and try Lamar's suggestion of focusing on the blowing snow flakes wide open with slow shutter. If you could try to recompose it from a slightly higher position you might be able to "lower" the streetlight and eliminate so much negative space over the trees and large building. Might create a better composition. The person provides scale but he doesn't look cold at all! |

The sun just peeking through a small slit under the clouds provides a soft blush of color and hint of blue sky and leaves the flanking hills in dark silhouette. It’s extra special as you were there on the day when the sun is perfectly centered in the V notch between these hills. The sky reflection on the water adds to the sense of peace and serenity. Balanced and thoughtful scene.
Your choice of tiny aperture and wide lens created a nice sun flare and while the sun isn’t too blown out there is a small bit of cloud above it that’s a bit hot. It might benefit from taking the adjustment brush in LR to it and decreasing the exposure a tad.
Worth getting up early for I’d say!
