All good suggestions and improvements Oliver. I did not have great vibs for this shot to begin with - was not sure if the lady with the bag added anything to a possible storyline. I don't think so, but the threesome don't say too much either - just two people and a dog. Back to the drawing board as they say. |

I thought this was a pretty nice architectural style attempt with perspective and reflection and contrast and a slight abstract quality. I don't see where Oliver completely eliminated the man, but I think he was on the right track. I give you utmost credit for driving from N.J. to lower Manhattan to shoot photos - that is just not my kind of thing anymore, but the photos are certainly there if you're willing to do it. |

It is indeed charming and if it were mine, I probably would have homed in on that charm a little tighter with the crop. My personal preference would have been to eliminate most of that darker area below the kids, but it works very well as is. I like their expressions and eye contact - so what do you think this conversation was all about? |

Hi LuAnn - for me simplicity is really the hallmark of this image. Mother Nature supplied all the detail needed to make it interesting, and you did a great job of capturing it. I did look at Hattie's video suggestion, and it is quite good. I have not had the time to give it a try on this or on one of my own images - I'm gonna do it though. I think she may have a point on trying to get some definition into this leaf - works beautifully in the video. Very nice image at any rate. |

Nice one Oliver - I especially like the background bokeh - allows for more eye emphasis on the main subject. Its a great capture - clean and sharp. After about a twelve hundred year hiatus, jousting is finally coming back - who knew! |
