Very interesting photo Paul. Been a long time since I was on that highway and when I was there I was using film - long before the age of pixels. I like the textures and reflections a lot - Oliver made a valiant attempt, but I kind of prefer your take. I may have cropped it a little lower from the top, but I do like this image. I would love to get back out there. |

Ditto for what Oliver said - this is a charmer, and I really like the use of a wide angle low and at eye level with the subject looking off. Really nice light on her face, hands and arms. You done good -- real good. |

Yep - a woman's work is never done, and this image sends that feeling to the viewer. I think you conveyed the message very well LuAnne. Per Oliver's suggestion, I like to use the NIK filters and they have one called "darken - lighten center" - it can pretty much put a dark vignette around your subject, which I think would work very well in this case. Puts more attention or emphasis on the worker and less on the machinery. I gave it a shot - hope you approve. You are well on your way to fame and fortune as a street photographer - that I'm sure. |

Hi Pete - I'm back to comment but too late to submit anything - sometimes a break is needed. I do like your take on the puzzle man - got him in somewhat of a reflective pose. I would never have suspected he had a green/yellow face without seeing the color image, and he certainly makes for an interesting photo. I can't find flaw with your camera settings - things look really sharp along with great bokeh thus keeping that face as the primary topic of interest. Who knows why people do what they do - I would suspect he's harmless, and he made for an interesting shot. Maybe that is his life's purpose. |
