I really like it Paul - like your take on perspective and lighting, but especially the perspective and overall composition. What comes to my mind is that famous Duke Ellington lead-in song, "Take the A Train" of 1941. When I hear that in my head I loose the sense of loneliness - nicely done. I wish I could take the A train. |

Great shot Pandula. I like Oliver's crop because it keys in on the action. You actually have a neat little storyline going on here as we don't know what the outcome of this leap was. Worst case, with two hanging on, the branches above possibly gave out, but these guys are pretty nimble. If I were the lower guy I would be going for the hand as shown, but if that failed there is always the tail - just have to think fast. Nice action shot. |

Great image David - real otherworldly or maybe even alien. I like your method and must try it myself. I like to play around with things like this - spin it 90 or 180 - paper toner - dodge and burn some. I couldn't help it - normally I would not adjust anything on anyone else's, but this thing was just too good to pass up - and it was a cold, rainy night here. I attached my take - what say you? |

He seems to be softer on my laptop too - I guess I must have sharpened him some. I should have been at a higher aperture since I think his eyes are a little soft too, and I should have been on a tripod and boosted the ISO some. Dude did not like his hat and it was a real juggling act to get him to keep it on - mostly pilot error. Dude thanks you for the pat. |

Beautiful take on man's best friend LuAnn - I mean second best friend. I almost hate to see the beautiful orange, yellows and grays of the original turned into a monochrome. Sharp as a tack with wonderful patterns and textures - very captivating. |

Definitely an interesting image Oliver. The lighting and tonality in my estimation are bang on - I like the way you cropped it too. As already pointed out, that lower right corner needs a little doctoring, but other than that I think you have an unusual but pretty darn effective shot - wish I had thought of it. |
