62 Nov 18 Reply Hi LuAnn - I hope you get this since I am so late in replying to your recommendations. I do like the way you darkened things up putting more emphasis on the window/antiques area. As far as the door goes, I know it is somewhat of a distraction, but that is the way it was when I took the shot - personally I would prefer to leave it as is. It could be cloned out I suppose - I do appreciate your input and feel free to modify anything I put on our site - always interested in how it can be improved. Nov 24th
62 Nov 18 Comment Got it - That's an open door I think to a closet. I think I should burn or tone it down some - I'm kind of against cloning it out, although I have done that too. Did your grandma have a feather bed and did you sleep over and listen to the rain fall on a tin roof, and tell ghost stories to each other? I bet you did. Nov 10th
62 Nov 18 Comment Everyone is agreeing with the guy above him, so I will do the same. But additionally, the black and white has an HDR effect that I really think is effective - the starbursts and reflections are neat as well. I don't know how you would improve this one - great image. Nov 10th
62 Nov 18 Comment Really effective image in my estimation. This is novel and different - I can't add more to what has already been said, but this one I like a lot. Thanks for giving me a brain infusion.

62 Nov 18 Comment Nice one David - your image projects that foggy-mountain breakdown feel - nice, prominent diagonal up to the S-turn. Oliver meant well, but I like your take on it - misty, moody, foggy all good. I don't think it needs any more. Personally, I would not use a frame, but that is entirely up to you - with or without, its an effective image I would say. Nov 10th
62 Nov 18 Comment Hattie - very effective image. The only thing I might contribute to the above comments is that in my view you should probably clone out what I think is a gave stone in the upper center of the image and perhaps the one on the far right. Just tighten things up somewhat. Also, depending on what relationship your daughter has to the deceased, maybe you would want a viewer to be able to read the headstone with your daughter slightly blurred - could be a greatly missed grandmother/father, brother, sister, etc. so you might want the viewer to make that connection. I think its a great idea for a meaningful photograph. Nov 10th
62 Nov 18 Comment Hey man - I really like this. I like that casual, cross legged stance, with someone doing their own thing and not looking into the camera. Putting her in front of that white background with some grain - yeah, that works very well. The creases and wrinkles in the clothing really show and bring out the detail, and the gray tonation works better for me than a hard black and white - hate to disagree with your wife, but I think you done good. Now go out and mow the lawn! Nov 10th
62 Nov 18 Comment Hi LuAnn - neat shot overall. I like the way you cropped tighter to eliminate the objects on the left and overhead - who needs that stuff? I agree with Oliver to burn or darken that cover or box under the drum along with the object under the guitar and the arms just to the right of the left guitar neck - make those bad boys the center of attention. I personally would not clone out anything - just make them less obvious. Nice one at any rate - also congrats on your canoe shot - that is one very strong, rugged image. Nov 10th
