Very colorful Malabika - you and Al get the color award for this month - not sure who comes in first place though. I was wondering if you were able to get closer to the spring in order to capture some more of the abstract effects that appear around the rim - those streams of steam coming off the surface also have potential. A nice overall composition, and certainly something like this has high photographic appeal. |

Shirley - butterflies and flowers are definitely you. I really like the fact that your subject blooms are not pristine in appearance. the pedals bend back and are not evenly bunched. In my opinion that adds character - perfection is not always relevant. Also, the composition is great with the green pointed leaves lifting up, and your little queen is wearing a tiera of green. Great shot - send some to Hallmark - they need the help |

I like the diagonal lines of the dash leading my eye to the steering wheel and broken driver's window. the junk doesn't bother me, but I probably would attempt to burn the white fabric in the foreground as it tends to pull my eye away from the steering column. Overall a very nice colorful composition.
I do hope you are doing OK tonight and that things don't get too rough - we have friends in Tampa who are staying - invited them up here, but they did not take the offer. We are on pins and needles for them - stay safe |

I like it Piers - I agree with your assessment that it could be a little sharper. The bird aficionados in our local club jump their ISO up to between 600 - 1200 allowing for faster shutter speeds. They also shoot bursts. It does produce some pretty decent shots for them - I have tried it, but most of mine turned out very grainy for my taste - not sure if the polarizer added any particular benefit for this one, but in my opinion a very decent inflight shot for your camera setup. Thanks for the advice on my entry. |

Al, to me this presents a classic western sunrise - very colorful and artistic. I love the distant shadows and the texture of the rock faces. Piers I believe, has a good point about stopping down - I need to try and think that type of thing thorough myself. Or perhaps try some focus stacking, but a Very nice shot overall. |
