Yeah, they did throw sand. I have that photo also. I will try the HDR program to see what happens. |

That is so cool. I guess back in the day you could just walk in and take your time. |

We were in a group also. No other option. But our guide was relaxed and I shot fast before the next group came up on us. There are other canyons in the where you can do just photography and have more time. Come back and do it again. |

The original was a bit dark. Especially in the shadow areas. No tripods allowed, so all hand held. The original was also very grainy due to high ISO. |

Great story told here. Love how the pattern of the pots leads to the makers. Also love the tonality of this. Gives it a feel of history. |

This is great. Hard to get a pair like that to start with and then for them to stay still that long as you approached was lucky. I like the warmth of the tones. I might add a little vignette to make the sky less intense. |

A great shot. Nice of the merganser to pose like that. Yes, moving back a bit would give it some room. The greens would be easy to darken, which would be good. |

Love the shot and the facilities. Rustic but functional would nail it. I agree with David about darkening the background a little so that everything isn't the same intensity. How did the jambalaya turn out? |

Wow, what a beautiful area. Very dramatic image. I think the blue in the sky is a little too blue, but otherwise great shot. |

Nice still life. Yes, I suppose a more natural background would enhance even more, but the color of the background is great. Contrasts well with the redish browns. |
