1 Aug 18 Reply Maybe I can make that guy hurry up. :) Probably darkening the end of the leading lines would work best. I'll give the crop a go. They are a little distracting. The railing is about waist high (depending on where your waist is). The grid use to hold plants. When the hotel was first built, back in the 80s, each floor had a hanging garden so that when you were in the lobby, there were all these plants artistically hanging off the railings. It was quite a look, but apparently too hard to maintain. Aug 17th
1 Aug 18 Comment This is definitely well titled. I agree with Neal that a little enhancement of the ripples in the water would give a nice sense of space and depth, but not so much that you lose the "no horizon" look on the sides of the island. Yes, you and Peter Lik are in competition here. :) Our skies here in Nor Cal are more brown with all of our smoke. Aug 12th
1 Aug 18 Comment Great image. The tones are great, except I missed that these were cherry blossoms because of the "fallish" tonality. The curve does a great job of leading the eye. Perhaps the "1/2 man" on the very edge could just be made a little darker and he would sort of disappear. Hard to get shots like this without people. Aug 12th
1 Aug 18 Comment I like the door and the concept, but it would be more effective if they were the same size. As it is, I missed that the images were of the same door until I read the description. Aug 12th
1 Aug 18 Comment Beautiful fall colors in the foreground. It does have a bit of a slant to it that is a little odd to me, but I agree that you wouldn't want the boat too level. Aug 12th
1 Aug 18 Comment This is beautiful. I think I would lighten up the dark clouds on the right just a smidge, but that's it. Nice composite work. Aug 12th
1 Aug 18 Reply I like it! Aug 6th
1 Aug 18 Reply Thanks. The 4 lamps are actually the tops and bottoms of 2 glass elevators. If you look really close, there are people in one of them. :) Aug 6th
1 Aug 18 Reply Hi,
Welcome to the group. I have pondered whether to take out the guy on the right. There are also people in the glass elevators, but they are hard to see. One reason I left the guy in was for a sense of size, but could go either way. Will give it a go as B&W also just for fun.
