Beautiful flower, Fred. Nice color range and composition.
I think you should have separated the flower onto its own layer, filled in the space on the background layer so that there would be no halo around the edge of the flower. Here's what I mean: |

Carol has finished your rose as I would have, bringing out the beauty of the flower without distraction or glare. |

Very contemplative piece. Rather than brightening her face, you might consider darkening the "tree" a little so her face shows a bit more. Thoughts? |

I like this as it is, though you might consider removing the person with the umbrella. The bridge and its reflection are like an eye that draws the viewer into the image. There is almost a painterly feel to this. |

The face looks almost frightened amidst the day-glow flowers - I probably would be too. d;¬{D You definitely have creative down pat! |

What a great find, Miriam. Great detail and the subject is clear. I do agree with the others about the background, so I gave the heart a slight blue tint and added a bit of blur and darkening to the background. Thoughts? |

Cute pooch. Great detail. I think he tends to fade into the background, so I darkened and softened it. Thoughts? |

Hmmm. I guess Ian does kinda look like an alien, so your take on the background does make some sense. Thanks for joining the fun. d:¬{D |

Another beautiful flower image. You typically bring the art to macro, and this is another such example! d:¬{D |

Just for a bit of fun to make it look a little more alive, I replaced the white with a sky. Thoughts? |

Love the overall composition and the subject. I agree the water drops didn't pass muster and the partial leaf in the upper-right and lower-right corners were also a distraction. Here's a quick fix to those things. Thoughts? |

Well done. I have difficulty getting close enough for shots of bees because I'm quite allergic to them. The cropping others have suggested will help the composition. |

This is a cool capture, Gloria. As others have said, there is a lot of distractions in the background. Here's what it looks like without the background distractions. Thoughts? |
