70 Oct 21 Comment Can't beat the composition. That is just gorgeous and I like the lighting behind the arch. This place is on my bucket list and I did buy some special lights to use. I think you may have gotten a bit more clarity using a faster lens, F2.8 rather than F4. Also, did you take a separate shot for the arch at a longer exposure (with less light intensity) and then combine? Sometimes that helps with clarity on the rock. Oct 17th
70 Oct 21 Comment Welcome Mary to the group. It looks like you have a few options already. I think you did a good job on the processing, but agree on having the leading line into the scene with the more forward cacti. San Yuan shows that a bit in his version by having most of the photo darker and then using the light to bring one into the rest of the scene. I don't know if I would crop as much as the others but agree with their concepts. Oct 17th

As for the photo, it is beautiful. I love the reflection of the clouds in the still water and the the marsh grass peeping up through the water's surface. A very calming photo to look at.		 Oct 17th
70 Oct 21 Reply Thanks. It does make it pop more. I have issues on just how much saturation and contrast to apply. I thought I applied quite a bit but then I get nervous about over adjusting. I see I can apply quite a bit more to bring out those colors and darken down the lighter areas. Oct 17th
