I started using focus stacking more often as well to get clear, crisp subjects throughout the scene. I agree, it is the colors here that make the shot. A nice combination of cool and warm colors together. I take it that there wasn't too much wind at that exposure. Nice shot! |

It's definitely the blue hour and I think you got the results you were looking for. Very nice. Like you, I also do my bracketed exposures and either work with HDR or bring them in as layers in PS and do exposure blending using luminosity masks. |

There is a story here of the history of the cotton gin. I think maybe a bit of vignetting may help bring it out with the mill and the debris in front of it standing out and trees and sky darkened and taken out of the storyline. Good composition and I think you used the best settings for the scene. |

This is nice. You were able to catch the colors in the sky and the reflections in the canal as well as getting the lights and whites on the buildings and signs just right. Sets the mood for the energetic city it is. |

Beautiful shot! If I was awoken at 3:00 a.m. I would probably be complaining instead of thinking it was a good time to take photos. I agree a bit of lighting just to bring out the road very slightly may work, but then it would have to have been preplanned. |

What a difference timing can make. The final photo is just gorgeous. The composition, the lighting and the mood is just perfect. It was well worth the 1.5 mile run. |
