Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
70 Aug 19 Reply Glen, your suggestion on the crop is useful. The remnants of the tree eliminated in the crop could be considered a distraction. However, I did not want to confine the tree but to include all of it that I could reasonably fit in.

70 Aug 19 Comment A very powerful and haunting image! It looks very much like a fine, infrared shot, with the characteristic dark sky, and lightly toned rocks. The image is particularly well titled. I wish you would share your shooting conditions and lens information, though. Aug 7th
70 Aug 19 Comment It is a nice image that is well exposed, colorful, and captures the freshness of the salt air! I take the opposite view from Stephen, and to my eye the image feels unbalanced with too much open space on the right. I think it is a case of what you want to be the subject of your image - the bridge or the open bay and mountains beyond. Aug 7th
70 Aug 19 Comment Hi Judy! It is steamy down here as well. The leading lines on the beach from the tidal wash is well used in this composition! The leaning "chimney" certainly is the riveting element in this noteworthy image! Aug 7th
70 Aug 19 Comment Katherine, surely a festive and lively image with all the brightly colored umbrellas! Exposure overall looks just right. Well done! Aug 7th
70 Aug 19 Comment Glen, it is surely another impactful image taken from high above! The flow line of the river that snakes back and forth as it travels upstream is particularly interesting and well placed in the composition. The air seems the least bit hazy to my eye, and I notice that with a small amount of increased contrast, the image perks up markedly. Aug 7th
70 Aug 19 Comment Pierre, the starburst at sunrise is certainly striking. And the fog bank in the distance is a mood-creating element. The image looks a little soft out beyond the first ridge of grasses. Since you were shooting on a tripod, you might check the alignment of your different exposures. Aug 7th
