Delightful hillside vignette in spring! Exposure in mid-morning light seems just right. There are some noticeable remnants in the left front corner could be eliminated by a slight change in framing or by cloning or cropping. |

Very nice work! The mountains are illuminated/exposed sufficiently to provide a useful feeling of depth and 3-dimensionality to this view of the cosmos. Your sky pointer seems to be doing its job of pointing your camera at a steady tracking point and leaves the sky without artifact of star movement. Based on the number of stars visible you must be getting close to the maximum of sensitivity from your camera and lens. And your compositing work appears flawless. Next trip out there try exposing your foreground just a bit more. |

This image is a good result without noticeable blur about the stars. The white balance looks approximately correct based on other images I have seem of the corrected night sky/milky way. Clark at http://www.clarkvision.com/articles/nightscapes/ would suggest a maximum of iso 1600 for your camera to obtain the optimum sensitivity. The tree silhouettes here are not the most complementary subject ( compared say to Katheryn's mountains ) but are serviceable. Nice work! |
