A pleasing, bucolic scene with a dramatic sky. Congrats on your steady hold on the camera! You have effectively coaxed into the image the naturally dark barn and roof with enough detail to make it an interesting subject. + |

The dappled light in this redwood forest is very captivating. As composed my eye tends to move upward and away from the path, whereas the path is a natural leading line into the scene. I tried reducing the height a wee bit as well as cropping off a part of the foreground tree to the right, and decided that is moving the composition in a better direction. See what you think. :) |

You definitely captured the subtle mood of the sunrise moment and its calmness; even the gently rolling waves. My only thought about how you might do this differently: frequently the receding wave will leave the sand wet behind it and that wet sand in turn will effectively pick up the sky colors on the horizon from a low point of view. Applied here , that may introduce an interesting but harmonious bit of foreground color. |
