I agree with the camera as another tool, but not replacing our cameras. A question...I noted that you take the cell phone photos in RAW, do you download it to your computer for post processing in LR and PS or do you use a phone app for post processing? Thanks! |

Cindy...very nice image. I like the sharpness and the effect of the light through the glass. Will and Steven have given good advice on this. Photos such as this allows you to experiment and focus on your artistic vision for the final product. Well done and thanks for sharing! |

Will...very interesting image. I agree that a sharper moving object is ideal (or traditional), however what you have with this image compels me to study it more and to interpret what I see. I also believe the black & white is perfect for this. Thanks for sharing this interesting photo! |

Steven...This is a very appealing photo. I like the entire scene as you have captured it. I agree that the lighthouse should possibly stand out a little more. I also like the haze in the sea and background as it adds a little mystery to the photo. As such, I would recommend keeping the haze as a part of the overall image. Excellent image, thanks for sharing this! |

Chan...very nice and bright image of the local settings. I am impressed with the quality of the photo via a cell phone camera. I also really like the crop on this as it allows me to focus on the trees with the house in the background. Referencing the comments above regarding the subject matter, for me personally I like the urban landscape as this is what you saw before you for the photo and is a product or your artistic vision. You've inspired me to look more closely at my cell phone camera as an option. Thanks for sharing this. |

Thanks Cindy! I will look into more contrast in this image. As far as LR or Silver Efex Pro, for me LR seems a little easier to use. Silver Efex Pro seems to have more presets for variations for the image, such as Low Contrast, High Contrast, Fine Art, etc. I did not work this image with Silver Efex Pro, only LR. |
