Very nice image! Personally I like the image as is as it portrays a small, quaint, somewhat rustic study area in an Old World church. The light and shadow contrasts are very good. The one chair in the light and one in the shadows tells an interesting story. The curved vertical lines, although possibly caused by the choice of lens, adds to the contextual element of this old church. As always, thanks for sharing this! |

Very nice and interesting image! In my opinion, this image stands out from the normal images taken at ballparks due to its slant. I see a left-handed batter at the plate and the image slanted toward right field. This makes me anticipate the batter pulling the ball to right field (whether he actually did or not). I really like this overall composition because it gets me involved in the image. Thanks for sharing this! |

Very nice image! The overall composition is well handled. The effect of the full moon makes, along with the details of the "milk bottles" and the surrounding elements, makes this image stand out. Thanks for sharing! |

Very nice street photograph! The colors are nice and vivid. The facial expressions stand out and show the spirit of the event very well. The f/4 aperture handled the depth of field very well. Nice work...thanks for sharing this! |

Nice images! I also like both images, but lean toward the B&W. In the B&W, the rim lighting and sharpness are excellent. The tonal contrast are very good as well. A nice work of art...thanks for sharing! |

Excellent and very interesting image. Personally I like the enhanced color and the experimentation. I agree with your response stating that photography as an art for should not be restricted to total reality. I am currently reading the book "Rembrandt is in the Wind; Learning to Love Art Through the Eyes of Faith" by Russ Ramsey. In the chapter on Van Gogh, he states, "In 1888, when he painted The Red Vineyard, Vincent was experimenting with the idea that color alone could generate an aesthetic that would capture peoples' hearts and imagination." He later states, "[Van Gogh] who used color not only to depict what he saw, but to make it come to life." To me, your image is refreshing. Thank you for sharing this! |
