87 Feb 24 Comment Excellent image! I really like that this is not just a photo of the moon, but the bird included in the photo greatly adds to the story line. This is a very "calming" photo which allows me (along with the bird) to spend time contemplating the moon and the surrounding atmosphere. Thanks for sharing this! Feb 14th
87 Feb 24 Comment Great action photo! Very good depth of field with the gymnast very sharp and the background slightly out of focus. In my opinion this is a key point as the background is very busy with the crowd of people. The overall crop of the photo gives me a sense of being there. Very nice work, thanks for sharing! Feb 14th
87 Feb 24 Comment Very interesting image. The B&W conversion is spot on and the tonal contrasts are excellent. I like the overall composition of this image and agree with Chan that this is what you as the artist want to present to us, the viewers. In my opinion, how you did this (single shot, composite, etc) is not an issue. The creativity here is excellent! Feb 14th
87 Feb 24 Comment Nice image! The B&W conversion is perfect for this shot! I like the tonal contrasts as well as the texture in the various rose pedals. This macro image allows me to look throughout the photo and see something interesting wherever I look! Thanks for sharing this! Feb 14th
87 Feb 24 Comment I too went to your DD18 image and am very impressed. I really appreciate the creativity involved in with that photo. As far as this image, I believe the B&W conversion for this is great and adds to the story line. This photo allows me ponder as to what the subject (you) are contemplating, what burdens are being carried, what plans are being made. The more I look at the image, the more story lines I come up with. This is great and forces me to think, which I truly appreciate. Thanks for sharing this! Feb 14th

87 Feb 24 Reply Thanks Will, good advice! I tried to use the different shades in the river to create tonal contrast, but looks like it may need more. I was limited with this image as it was early spring in Michigan with little color available (limited color palette). Your advice is definitely worth checking into. Feb 4th
