I love this image! Excellent work capturing both clouds and a starry sky. In my opinion, the boat is not a distraction, but adds to the story line. I agree with removing the leaning cabins and perhaps the illuminated house as well so that the focus remains on the beautiful sky. Excellent work, thanks for sharing this! |

Wow! What a great artistic image! I also see multiple story lines in this image (old vs new, camel vs motorcycle, etc). I am at somewhat of a loss for comment as I am not familiar with this aspect of photography. My main thought is that I really like this photo with the multiple colors, shades of color, and as mentioned, the story lines. I also like the creativity shown here. Excellent...thanks for sharing this! |

Sorry for being so late with my comments... work responsibilities take up so much of my time. This is a very good, sharp photo of a difficult creature to capture. It is very sharp and well detailed. I agree with the above comments about the limb and background. I also agree with the most difficult aspect of it all...patience (which I lack most of the time!). Nice work, thanks for presenting this! |

Excellent image! It is said that capturing birds in flight is one of the most challenging aspects of photography. In this photo you have captured this bird very well! The eye and talons are very sharp and in focus. I agree with everyone about not replacing the sky as your current sky allows the focus to be on the bird. As far as the nest, I have a mixed opinion...the nest does provide context. However, you may want to look into removal of some of the outer branches nearest the bird. This is just my opinion, the photo as presented is excellent as it is. |

Excellent photo! I like the composition of the row of boats taking me throughout the image. I find myself stopping to look at each boat and observe the details. The reflections are great and the conversion to B&W is perfect. As far as a story line, I too see a peaceful scene at the end of the day, the boats settled down for the night, ready for tomorrow's activities. Again, excellent image...thanks for sharing! |

Very interesting image! This is a perfect example of finding art in areas where we would not normally look. I too am fascinated in the interaction between light and shadow, especially in creating depth in a photo. This is an excellent photo that causes me to stop and think and also teaches me that we can find art where we choose to look. Thanks for sharing this! |

Thanks Will! I appreciate your insights…I missed the branch and agree it should be removed. I also like your thoughts on the square format…something to experiment with next time. |

Thanks Steven! I appreciate your comments and insight…perhaps a tighter crop is in order to avoid any distractions. |

Thanks Cindy! Good catch on the fuchsia tint on the sparrow, I missed that. |
