87 Nov 22 Comment This photo is very inspirational for me as I will soon be more limited to what I can find to photograph due to wintertime in the northern part of the country (Michigan). I appreciate your creativity, which I always learn from. This is a great image...sharp, balanced, with good color usage. The background is perfect. 87 Nov 22 Comment Growing up in a semi-rural setting, I've grown to love old barns (more than active ones) and love to photograph them when I can. This is a fantastic image of an old barn in its setting. The overall setting tells a great story (what it was and what it is now...old, forgotten, disrepair, etc.). I appreciate your B&W conversion and use of filters. I tend to use only Silver Efex for the conversion and process this. The use of filters adds another dimension and is a learning process for me. Thank you for the explanation in Jennifer's comments and for your continued push for learning. Nov 12th
87 Nov 22 Comment Nice autumn photo! I like the composition with the birds sharp and clear. The farmhouse in the background definitely adds to the story line. You commented above that you wished that you used a different aperture. I've done this many times as well. It is difficult to do when things happen so quickly and the conditions change. This is a very good image...nice work! Nov 4th
87 Nov 22 Comment Hi Cindy - great vision to capture a rainbow, which is usually very hard to do. This is a fun way to continue to learn in the photography world...to try new things. This is a good photo that is also a good building block. I agree with the above comments... a little crop and some color adjustments will work. Nice work! Nov 4th
87 Nov 22 Comment Excellent photo! I like the composition (diagonal flower, humming bird slightly off-center. In my opinion, the capture of the bird is perfect with the wings showing motion. The colors overall are exceptional. Again, great photo!

87 Nov 22 Reply Thanks Steven! Great advice on darkening the corners/edges to allow the light to guide the viewers eyes. I also like what you did in your revision in removing some of the branches. Thanks for your input and advice! Nov 3rd
