87 Aug 22 Comment Great action photo! This image is very sharp and clear, the colors are excellent, and the composition is spot on. I also like the storyline here...a rodeo, horse, action, dirt, cowboy boots, and a sport coat! I can also see some of his expression of "what just happened?! Excellent...thanks for sharing! Aug 15th
87 Aug 22 Comment Great photo! Photographing birds in flight is challenging and this one is excellent. I like the sharpness and clarity. I generally like photos of birds in open, cloudy skies. However the tree limbs in background is perfect and provides an excellent contrast. The only thing you may want to consider is to lighten up the bird itself, removing some of the darkness. This will allow you to show more detail of the bird and perhaps provide an even greater contrast to the tree limbs. Nice work! Aug 15th
87 Aug 22 Comment Very creative image which causes me to consider expanding my horizons a little (similar to Jennifer, I tend to be somewhat resistant to the creative techniques). I have never used Lensbaby but should consider this or something similar. Thanks for sharing this! Aug 15th
87 Aug 22 Comment Great photo! I too prefer the monochrome version for this image. It brings more attention to the subject and minimizes the background distractions. As far as catch-lights, while these are ideal, I personally don't think the lack of catch-lights in this image lessens the quality in any way. The eyes are sharp and clear and portray an aura of confidence. Thanks for sharing this... Aug 15th
87 Aug 22 Comment A very creative image...thank you for sharing this. I am learning photoshop now and am impressed on the variety in this image. It also teaches me about creativity and learning to expand my horizons. Thanks again! Aug 15th
87 Aug 22 Comment Good Morning...Thank you for another time to show me how to look at the world more creatively. I love the images...they make me look at them intently and cause me to think. Regarding the tripod, I too am using it less as I sometimes see it as a burden to carry around (perhaps I am also getting somewhat lazy!). Thanks again! Aug 15th
87 Aug 22 Reply Thanks! As far as a CPL, I usually use one when the photo will be predominantly of the sky, especially shooting directly toward the sun. I find that this enhances the colors somewhat and helps with the direct sunlight. Also, this photo was part of multiple photos taken at the same time with the sun at various levels of visibility behind the clouds. My thought the CPL would help offset the strength of the sun's glare. Thanks again! Aug 8th
87 Aug 22 Reply Thank you! The photo last month and this month were taken about the same time of day (early morning) on different days. Last month's photo was taken at the end of the week with cooler weather. This months image was taken at the beginning of the week with warmer weather. Interesting how the weather has such an impact!
