Great image! Very interesting. The sun in the upper left is handled very well and not overpowering. The overall "mood" of the image is great and, as Jennifer noted, allows for much thought and interpretation, which I also like. Thank you for stretching our boundaries... |

Great image! I love the detail and the sharpness throughout. The lighting is perfect. I agree with your crop as the image as submitted tells a beautiful story. I am also impressed on how well you handled the noise with the higher ISO. |

Great image! The black & white conversion is perfect. I like the detail of both the alligator and the surrounding water. The suggestions by Steven are excellent and what you provided in response is very good as well. This photo forces me to think and learn, and I appreciate that! |

Great family photo! I like that you included the surroundings with this image as it gives the context. Too many times I try to zero in on the bird or animal and exclude the surroundings. I am learning that including the surroundings in wildlife images (trees, brushes, etc) provides needed information for the complete story. Very well done! |

Great photo! You were able to capture the emotion of the gorilla very well. The slight smile on his face tells all. Excellent detail and sharpness. I also very much like the vertical layout of the photo! |

Thanks Steven! My apologies for the late reply...work this month has been crazy. Here is the uncropped version of the image. I appreciate your input on helping me determine the softness of the image. This helps me learn for future times I am out using this lens. My thought is that it is either the cropping of the image or the fact that I used the zone AF points when taking this photo. In general, I had been photographing birds in flight and used the zone AF along with the continuous drive function for these photos. I did not change the AF to a single point (sloppy on my part) to capture this image. I will keep all of your suggestions on this in mind the next time out. Thanks you, truly appreciated! |

Thanks Jennifer! I appreciate you picking this up and agree, I need to tone this area down a bit to keep from unnecessary distraction. |
