Thanks Lance, I agree that a little crop on the right side is needed to enhance the image. Thanks for your input and comments. Also thanks for the examples of the possibilities with more water or more sky. I can definitely see the difference in interpretations in each. |

Thanks Cindy! I missed the negative space to the right as well. I need to do a better job of composition when taking the photo. Thank you for your comments, I too am learning... |

Thanks Steven! I appreciate your comment regarding the aspect ratio. I first thought of cropping, but changing the aspect ratio will perhaps work better. Thanks again... |

Thanks Will! I agree that I need to crop off some of the left side as I didn't take care of this when taking the image. I also like your comment about the angle of view of the bridge. Something I will experiment with next time. Thanks again... |

Thanks Chan! I agree with your comment about the empty space to the right. As many times as I've looked over this photo, I never notice this. Next time I will try to better compose when taking the photo. Thanks for your comments and insight! |

Thanks Jennifer! I like your thought regarding the contrast in the clouds. I generally over-contrast clouds, perhaps I didn't do enough on this one. Something I will experiment with... |

Excellent work, really makes me think. Personally I favor the black and white version based on texture and tonal contrast. However, the color version has an appeal as well. This is a perfect example of the vision of the photographer! This is also an excellent use of light and shadow and more so, the study of light and shadow. Thank you for giving this to us! |

Great image. The composition is excellent as is the color and tone of the image. The floor lines compliment the fishing rod very well. I am normally not a fan of borders, however I agree that the border adds to the quality of this photo. The red color of the border works well in my opinion, however a muted red tone may also work. Nice work! |

This is a great image! I would never have known that you shot this through a fence! The eagle's detailed feathers are great and the eye sharpness is excellent! The facial expression and facial angle are classic. Excellent work! |

Great image! It kept me guessing and I would never have guessed candy sprinkles. This image has great composition and layout. I like the vibrant color and detail. The reflections definitely add to quality of the image. I am also greatly impressed on the detailed procedure you took in making this macro image! Great work!! |

Very nice image! Good eye in capturing this bird in its natural setting. I like the reflection of the bird in the water and also the ripple effect of the water. In my opinion, the rippled water gives a good separation of the bird from the background. I agree with the above comments on more space in the direction the bird is looking and also the sharpness of the eye. Nice work on this photo! Hopefully your planned trip to Israel works out this time! |

Jennifer - I really like this image. This photo has excellent tonal contrast as well as nice layering in the background. The black and white works very well. The position of the birds flying away is difficult to control and you took this situation and made a good image out of it! Regarding the tree in the lower right, to me this gives the entire photo a sense of dimension, that the birds are somewhat close to the ground. As such, I would leave it. However, you may want to look at possibly removing the few strands of tree branches along the bottom of the photo. Nice work! |
