87 Jan 22 Comment Great work! I like how the fishing line is in focus...hard to do in general (I always have trouble!). I agree with the above comments regarding a tighter crop of the image. Again, nice work! Jan 23rd
87 Jan 22 Reply Thanks Jennifer! We may go back again to try to get more shots of this type, the birds are very tame. I appreciate your comments! Jan 7th
87 Jan 22 Reply Thanks Cindy! I appreciate your comments! Jan 7th
87 Jan 22 Reply Thanks Chan! I truly appreciate your comments. This was a very fun photo to take. Jan 7th
87 Jan 22 Reply Thanks Will! Fortunately the birds in this area of the park are tame (especially if you have food) and I can go back to take the same photo again. Your points are well taken...thanks! Jan 7th
87 Jan 22 Comment Great photo! Nice close-up to capture the bear in his/her natural habitat. The "smile" does add interest. The details are excellent, especially the bear's fur. Well done! Jan 7th
87 Jan 22 Comment This is a great photo and as such, I tend to disagree with the judge. The detail and texture of the rose is great. The reflection creates a greater interest to the image. My personal opinion I'm not sure that shooting lower would have enhanced the impact of the photo as I feel the impact is very sound! This is one to print and hang on your wall...well done! Jan 7th
87 Jan 22 Comment Great photo! The light & shadows contrast is excellent and as Chan stated causes me to focus on the lion's face. The sharpness, especially the eyes, are very well done. I also like the black & white conversion on this. Very well done! Jan 7th
87 Jan 22 Comment Very good portrait! The overall feel of the image is warmth and draws the viewer to the warm personality displayed by Dale. Personally, I like the crop as is. The background is a natural part of the image and is blurred enough not to be a distraction. The window could be considered too bright, however I agree with others that it is also not a distraction. Very nice photo...well done! Jan 7th
87 Jan 22 Comment Very interesting image! I like the use of light & shadow displayed in this photo. The wood texture background adds to the interest of this image. I'll admit that I do not know much about this style and this gives me an opportunity to learn. Thanks again for introducing new styles to us! Jan 7th
87 Jan 22 Reply Thanks Steven! Good catch on the bright spots on the hand, I will definitely tone these down. Increasing the brightness of the bird will help as well.

As far as the ring, I didn't really give it much thought when I took the photo or in post processing. To me, its part of the scene. However, I do see that it could be a distraction. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
