Great photo! Excellent details! The composition is also very good with the diagonal waves. I like the inclusion of the footprints in the upper left as this adds to the story line. This image truly makes me think...thank you.
I also viewed your posts and images in the bulletin board. Thanks for these posts in allowing us to see the many options available in the various filters. As I noted in the bulletin board, I like the copper tone the best, however all are very good images! |

Beautiful scenery...nice composition with the river as a leading line taking my eyes through the photo. The dreamy look adds to the artistic flair of this image! I agree with the others in toning down the bright spot. However, to me this is minor as this is an excellent photo. |

This is an amazing portrait! I like the overall sharpness and detail throughout, especially in the eyes! The monochrome conversion greatly highlights these details. I also like the black background for this image. Your portraits are excellent and encourages me to want to learn more! |

This is an excellent image! Nice warm colors and excellent sharpness in the birds eye. I like this composition (tight crop on both ends) however I also agree with Chan on experimenting with a little more room in front of the bird. Capturing birds in flight is one of the more difficult images to capture...this one is a keeper! |

Excellent image! The tree and its details draws my attention very well. I too like the composition and how you cropped this photo to place the tree to the right. I also like your explanation in Jennifer's review regarding your thinking on this composition! Great work! |

Excellent image! As others have stated, the BW image really draws my attention more than the color original. I like the tonal contrast and the detail in this image! The composition is excellent...my initial focus is on the larger tree, then my eyes follows the trees to the right to lastly focus on the smaller trees. Thanks for posting this image and providing your method for custom toning. As I mentioned in my reply to your comments on my photo, I really enjoy BW photography and can now see the beauty in this genre. Looking forward to learning more... |

Thanks Steven! I agree, after looking at the photo a little more I realize that I probably should have opened up the aperture a little more and have a more shallow DOF. My initial intent was to try to keep all the blossoms in focus, but having a little more blur would have worked as well. Thanks for your input! |

Thanks Robert! I like your cloud emphasis. Also, after reviewing all suggestions, I like the image without the boaters. Thanks again! |

Thanks Cheryl! I like the cloud enhancement and the silhouetted tree. The cloud enhancement seems to be a common suggestion from the posts so far. Your ideas are very useful and I appreciate your edits to show me the final image. Thank again! |

Nice image, very nostalgic! Nice composition with the diagonal mountainside. Nice detail and sharpness throughout. In general, with animals frontal shots usually work best. However with photos involving animals, much of the time we take what we can get based on location, external factors, etc. Nice work! |

Excellent photo! Great composition and excellent detail throughout. I like the cloud structure and the hint of pink in the clouds and mountain tops. Good HDR processing. I have no suggestions for improvement. This is a keeper and should hang on a wall! |

Nice work! I like this as it removes the bottom shadow. You may want to look at cropping the bottom even more at the bottom to remove the portion of the road on the bottom left. This may allow the viewers eyes to more concentrate on the winding road in the main portion of the image. Just a thought, again a nice photo either way. |

I really like this photo, especially the use of color. The details are also excellent. I understand your composition of the river of light and believe the 3 waterfalls form a leading line concept, which I like. However, to me the distance between the middle waterfall and the lower waterfall appears to be too far and tends to take away from the leading line. Perhaps experimenting with cropping out the lower waterfall, somewhere near the lower portion of the pool of water, would enhance the details of the image while maintaining a portion of the leading line of the waterfalls. This is only a suggestion as this is a very good image! |

Nice photo! I like the clear sharp details throughout the image. The composition is great, especially the use of lines (road) which takes my eyes throughout the photo. My only suggestions are to experiment with both vibrance and contrast to make the image stand out more. Also, I would suggest cropping out the shadow at the bottom of the image which will eliminate a possible distraction and put the horizon line near the top 1/3 line. These are only suggestions as this is an excellent photo! |
